チェリストの宮田大氏とピアニストの林正樹氏という卓越したふたりの演奏家によるデュエットです。宮田氏の崇高なチェロの音色は時間や空間を越えて響き渡り、この作品のために書いた「自由の旋律」を力強く豊かな感情とともに届けてくれます。一方、林氏の類まれな才能が溢れるピアノのタッチはメロディを美しく包み込み、優雅で洗練された響きを添えています。

この楽曲は、時代を超えて人々が抱き続けてきた「自由を求める心」を表現しています。それがどのような自由なのかは人それぞれです。社会的な自由、芸術の自由、経済的な独立、あるいはもっと個人的な願いかもしれませんが、誰しもが一度はそんな思いを抱いたことがあるでしょう。
お二人が、深い洞察と心のこもった演奏でこの曲に命を吹き込んでくださいました。この特別な贈り物が、皆さまにも届きますように。

This duet features two extraordinary performers, Dai Miyata on cello, and Masaki Hayashi on piano. Dai’s sublime cello playing reaches across time and distance, singing the melody of freedom I wrote for the show and bringing it to us with clarity, richness, and emotion. Likewise, Masaki’s gifted touch on the piano frames the piece, supporting the melody tastefully and with rare sensitivity. The music is intended to express the yearning for freedom that people have felt in every era. For each person, the “flavour” of that freedom might take a different form, but whether it’s social freedom, artistic freedom, financial independence, or some other, more personal longing, we all have felt it at one time or another. These two players’ thoughtful performance breathes life into the music and presents a gift to the listener.
