江戸夜雲 / Moody Edo
人生というものは、時に少し退屈で単調に思えることがありますが、それでも時は続いていきます。この曲はやや静的に始まりながら、やがて脈打つように動き出します。曲が進むにつれメロディが現れ次第に広がっていきますが、それは常に流れながらも、あてもなく彷徨っているようです。やがてクラリネット（ちょうどこの時代に発明された楽器です）が短く江戸の主題を短調で奏でます。音楽は膨らんでいきますが、どこにも辿り着くことはありません。
Sometimes life is a little gray, a little monotonous, but it keeps moving. This piece starts off somewhat statically, but then begins to percolate. As it develops, a melody enters and grows. Although it carries constant motion, it meanders somewhat inconclusively. There is a brief quotation of the main Edo theme in minor on the clarinet (an instrument that had been invented around this time). The piece grows, but never quite arrives at a main destination.
