Sunrise
最初は穏やかに、やがて少しずつ、私たちをあたたかく包み込むように“Sunrise”は始まります。冒頭、ヴァイオリンがどこかためらうように、瞑想を思わせるようなゆっくりとしたテンポで最初のモチーフを奏で、続いてチェロがやってきて、幾分力強い語り口で旋律に彩りを加えていきます。リズムはまだどこか頼りなく彷徨うような足取りで、眠りから覚めたばかりの気分と言った感じでしょうか。やがて弦楽器たちがゆったりとしたテンポで「べらぼう」のメインテーマを連れてきて、少しずつ、ハープの響きとともに希望に満ちた光の雲となって行きます。この穏やかな曲は、思いやりや希望、前向きな気持ちをそっと呼び起こしてくれます。
Gentle at first, gradually warming us, “Sunrise” starts gradually, with the violins somewhat hesitantly beginning their first motif in a slow, contemplative tempo. The cellos next take their turn, embellishing the melody in a somewhat more authoritative tone. The rhythm is hesitant, almost meandering; a mood we may find ourselves in when we’ve just awakened. After a time, the strings introduce the main Berabou theme at a relaxed tempo, gradually unfolding and emerging into a hopeful, glowing cloud of strings and harp. This gentle piece evokes compassion, hope, and positivity.
