べらぼう〜Unbound〜 べらぼう・サウンドトラック Vol.1 楽曲解説
主人公の蔦重は、当時最も想像力豊かで活力に満ちた人物のひとりであったに違いありません。厳しい身分制度の敷かれた社会で、出版者や作家、芸術家、そして事業家として身を立てるには、いくつもの徳を積み重ねなければいけなかった事でしょう。そしてきっと彼は極めて頭の回転が早く、次々と成すべき事を成しつつも何も見落とさず、それでいて一番の目標を見失わない人物だったのではないかと思います。
そういう思いから、この曲は絶え間なく転調し、テンポや編成も変わり、モチーフさえも途切れる事なく次々と移り変わります。蔦重が、文化という世界で何かを成し遂げるために必要とした情熱と想像力を、明るく朗らかに表現しています。
The main character in “Berabou,” Jyusaburo, must have been one of the most imaginative, energetic people of his time. To rise from such a constrained place in society to become a publisher, writer, artist, and entrepreneur took a long list of virtues. I always think of him needing to be extremely nimble – jumping from one task to another, without missing anything, but keeping his eye on the main goals he was pursuing.
For that reason, this piece keeps changing key centres, tempos, orchestration, and hops from one motif to another with no break. It is a cheerful, upbeat expression of the energy and imagination needed to accomplish anything in the world of culture.
