この曲は、ハープと弦楽器、ベル、細かく震えるようなトレモロ奏法のマンドリン、そしてピアノの静かな音色から始まります。そこに少しずつ音が重なり、ゆっくりと高揚していきます。

重三郎は、どうやったらゴールに辿り着けるのかわからないまま進み出してしまうことがよくあります。しかし、時が経つにつれ、気づけばかなりの労力や心血を注ぎ込んでいて、そこで思いがけない壁や困難にぶつかってしまいます。この曲は、そんなふうにして少しずつ膨らんでいく気持ちの高まりを表現しています。

This piece starts quietly, with harp, with strings, bells, tremolo mandolin, and piano. It gradually builds, a little at a time, becoming slowly more intense. Jyuzaburo often started down a path without being sure how he would get to the end of it; as more and more time went by, however, and he devoted greater resources to it as well, sometimes he ran into serious opposition or difficulties, and this piece is intended to show that kind of gathering intensity.
