心の波濤 / Worry
貧しかろうが成功していようが「不安」は常に人の心に付き纏うものです。この曲では、ソロのビオラが執拗にオスティナートを繰り返し、押し寄せては引き、時に痛みさえ覚えるような恐怖の波で聴く者を揺さぶります。ハープや箏、ベル、弦楽、ダルシマー、そしてツィンバロンが加わり、それぞれの音が止まることなく揺れ動きながら交錯し、心の奥に渦巻く落ち着かぬ不安を描き出していきます。
Whether ambitious and prosperous, or poor and in need, worry seems to be an inevitable part of the human condition. This piece’s restlessness, with solo violas trading off a relentless ostinato, washes the listener back and forth in flows of sometimes-painful fears. With harp, koto, bells, strings, dulcimers, and cimbalom, there is a fluttering restlessness to this piece that seeks to illustrate the feeling of anxiety.
